A business profile is useful when a visitor can quickly understand what you do, who you help, and how to take the next step. Before sharing a public profile, work through this checklist.

Start with the essentials

Use the business name customers recognize. Choose a category that describes the work, and write a short opening sentence that explains the product or service without jargon.

Make the next step obvious

Add the website and the contact links you want visitors to use. Test every link from a phone and a private browser window so you can see the public experience.

Add only useful detail

Include team, product, and milestone information that helps someone decide whether to learn more. Keep claims specific and current. Leave out private details and anything you do not have permission to publish.

Review images and accessibility

Choose images that represent the business, use descriptive alternative text when an image conveys information, and leave decorative images without redundant descriptions.

Keep the profile current

Revisit the profile when your offering, hours, website, or contact details change. A profile link is most useful when the information behind it stays accurate.
